Ohh pregnancy!!! It is a beautiful time, but it can certainly make you feel awful, too. The first trimester is filled with morning sickness and the last trimester is filled with swollen ankles & the inability to move freely. They are also filled with excitement at feeling baby kick for the first time, excitement for the announcement of your baby's sex and extreme anticipation for baby's arrival. Since the first and final trimesters are both a sensitive time, I recommend we meet somewhere in the middle during the second trimester or start of the third trimester. I highly recommend your schedule your maternity session between 28 weeks (7 months) and 32 weeks (8 months) of gestation. I choose this time because your belly becomes the most round and prominent after 28 weeks, but at 33-35 weeks your belly starts to feel very heavy leading to back pain and fatigue. In my experience, I have found this is when mom feels her best. The morning sickness is over, or hopefully is at least. Your belly doesn't feel like you are carrying a ten pound watermelon under your clothes AND this is the time where you are positively glowing. Your hair looks great and your skin is bright and beautiful, too. I should note, if you are pregnant with multiples, the time frame will become 22 weeks (5 1/2 months) to 26 weeks (6 1/2 months) as most multiples are delivered early.
