Sherwood Gardens, voted best Urban Garden in Baltimore, lies just off of Cold Spring between Underwood Rd & Greenway. Located in North Baltimore, it is truly a hidden gem. Sherwood, nestled in the beautiful Guilford neighborhood, full with historic homes & manicured lawns sits a stones throw away from downtown Baltimore, but very conveniently located for those in Baltimore County, too. The garden was created around 1913 by John Sherwood, who’s home bordered the garden. Sherwood Gardens is most famous for it’s annual tulip display & tulip dig. According to the current firm who owns it, some 80,000 tulip bulbs are planted here each year. In addition to tulips, the garden contains many other beautiful plants such as trees full of blossoms, azaleas, hyacinths & much more.
Undoubtedly, the conclusion to the intro is that there is A LOT of flowers here. I mean, it’s a garden, after all. I advise that you should absolutely book a session here asap if you love the feeling of Spring, the warmth of summer sunshine & of course, loads of blooms.
Recently, I spoke with my amazing client Julie, who has booked me multiple times each year for years now. I have had the great pleasure of watching her children grow through my lens in addition to capturing her pregnancy with the littlest one. Naturally, I was thrilled that she called upon me again to capture a Mommy & Me Session with her and her little ones. This time, she had one simple request- flowers.
First, let me share my favorite images from Julie’s Mommy & Me / Family Photography Session.
I am so excited to share a few more of the favs with you.
